So, who is That Wedding Girl?

That Wedding Girl began with me — Tessa — standing beside couples on one of the biggest days of their lives, helping them say I do in a way that felt relaxed, personal, and true to them.

As a celebrant, I quickly realised that what couples needed most wasn’t just someone to officiate the ceremony: it was someone who could guide the day, keep things flowing, and make the moments feel natural rather than scripted. That’s where the MC role came in.

Over time, my husband Michael joined me, bringing his love of music, timing, and atmosphere into the mix. With Michael behind the decks and me on the mic, That Wedding Girl naturally evolved into a husband-and-wife MC and DJ team, creating seamless celebrations from ceremony through to the final song.

As the business grew, so did the way we supported our couples. We saw the small things causing unnecessary stress - signage, confetti, sparklers, guestbooks, those finishing touches that pull everything together. So we added a planning and hire offering, giving couples access to the little extras that make the day feel complete.

Today, That Wedding Girl is about more than one role — it’s about connection, flow, and thoughtful support at every stage of the celebration. From vows to speeches, music to moments, and all the details in between, we’re there to make your wedding feel effortless, meaningful, and unmistakably yours.
